Comments

The data refer to the average amount of rent arrears in Australian dollar terms, excluding fraud and non-disclosure, per tenancy for all DCJ managed properties.

Rent arrears monitor the extent to which DCJ managed tenancies in public and AHO are meeting their obligation to pay rent charges. Tenants have a legal obligation to pay their tenancy charges as they become due. If tenants do not make payments, their accounts fall in arrears. This results in a breach of their tenancy agreement.

The district reported in this performance measure reflects where a case plan was held in the reporting period.
