Definition

A calculated/constructed field based on an SQL process to check that a key enabling the matching of two or more records that are believed to belong to the same individual, is present and/or correct, as represented by a numeric code.

A generated field to check that the linkage key (which is designed to make it possible to count number of clients and services they received, without counting the same client more than once. It can also be used for linking to other related data collections. It is for statistical linkage purposes only, not for case management or the tracking of individual persons. This may be done using a range of identifiers and/or keys.)
