This refers to the total number of social housing applicants on the NSW Housing Register who are waiting to be housed in public housing, community housing or Aboriginal Housing Office properties where the head of the household was aged 55 years or over, in the reporting period.

An Aboriginal household is defined as a household with one or more members, including children, identifying as an Aboriginal person.
The number of social housing applicants represents the total number of households applying to live in social housing – it is not a total count of people in those households.
From June 2017 onwards, data exclude suspended social housing applicants.
NP (Not Publishable) refers to small numbers that are not published to preserve privacy of individuals.
CALD refers to clients with culturally and linguistically diverse background.
