Definition

Whether an individual is the care recipient in a carer relationship. A carer relationship exists when any person (the carer), such as a family member, friend or neighbour provides regular, ongoing assistance to another person (the care recipient) who has care needs, generally as a result of becoming frail due to age or having a disability, mental health condition or other chronic health condition that requires ongoing care.
