Definition

A derivation that identifies what type of referral services were identified.

Referral To is a reference table with a primary key to look up the reasons clients are referred to other services, either internally or externally. There are 14 reasons clients be referred and there can be more than 1 reasons clients are referred at any given time. Each reason in the Referral To table is a binary value representing yes or no. The primary key is an integer representing the different combination of binary values across different reason code. For example, primary key value 20 means the reason Training and Caring have a value of 1 (i.e. yes) and for all other reasons they have a value of 0 (i.e. no). In total, there are over 16,000 different primary key representing all possible combinations of the 14 different reason codes.

The combination of the two data elements should be documented against each service type with;

0=No and 1=Yes.
